Malcolm studied music at Cambridge University,where he was involved with choirs and musical theatre.
After working as a professional musician in London for a number of years,he became a law lecturer, but during the last 10 years in York, he has become increasingly active again in amateur music making.
He is a rehearsal pianist, chorus master and musical director for various theatrical groups in the North Yorkshire area, and often plays in the "pit" orchestras in the Theatre Royal and the Joseph Rowntree Theatre`s in York, and also the Harrogate Theatre. In addition, Malcolm acts as a accompanist for a number of choirs and soloist`s.
Malcolm has recently joined "Fanfare" to further his already outstanding talents to work with one of Yorkshire`s premier groups.
